Diving Coaching Sessions

Session throughout July and August

The Club intends to run diving coach sessions at the Lake during July and August. There will free taster sessions on the following dates:

Monday 10^th July 5pm-6pm
Wednesday 12^th July 5pm-6pm
Sunday 16^th July 11.15am-12.15pm

From the week starting 17^th July to the week starting 21^st August there will be regular weekly sessions: time and dates will depend on the level of demand but we anticipate that there will be sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays.

The diving coaches will be Harry Glover (head coach) and Camilla Kerr (assistant coach).

Booking is essential as the number of participants per session will be limited. To book a place please email us giving the following information:

Age
Diving ability: Absolute beginner, beginner, intermediate, advanced
Any medical condition we should be aware of e.g. asthma, diabetes, epilepsy
Preferred session time: Monday 5pm-6pm, Wednesday 5pm-6pm, Sunday 11.15am- 12.15pm

Cost will be £5 per session or £25 for a block booking of 6 sessions. Payment by cheque made out to Henleaze Swimming Club.

NB Sessions may have to be cancelled if the Lake is very busy or the weather is very bad.

Profile: Harry Glover (Head Coach)

Between the ages of six and twelve, Harry competed as a Gymnast at his local club in Plymouth. Following a trial at a local summer diving camp he soon became hooked and

joined the Plymouth Diving Team and trained with a younger Tom Daley where he specialised on the 10m platform.

Harry went on to study at the University of Leeds and graduated with a BSc (Hons) Degree in Sports Science and Physiology as well as achieving a NVQ Level 3 in Sporting Excellence & Diving.

Whilst withdrawing from competitive diving in 2011 which took him all over Europe, Harry continues to enjoy the thrill of diving through coaching and diver progression. He was most recently head diving coach in the 10m centre in Luton and was also seen diving in the Tom Daley ITV show Splash!
